Texas Tornados Volleyball Club is a select volleyball program for ages 12 through 18. You must try-out and be selected in order to participate in this program. Club Try-outs are held annually in July. All teams are selected within 24 hours of their initial try-out. Although try-outs are held in July, the practices for the 12’s-18 do not begin until November. This gives the girls a chance to play during their respected school season and the Tornados a chance to order uniforms, schedule meetings and put together team schedules. All club members will compete on a local and National level. Teams compete in National qualifiers for a chance to earn a bid to Nationals each season. You have to finish in the top three in the Open division and first or second in the Club divisions, depending on the qualifier. A typical club season runs from November through the first week of May, and the teams that advance to Nationals compete until the first week of July. Texas Tornados have had several top 10 ten finishes over the past years and have sent teams to National’s every year since 1995. Tornados have a 90%-95% scholarship rate for our seniors and many of our athletes commit by their junior year to top Division I Colleges across the country.
