TORNADOS GIVE BACK – NICARAGUA 2012
Tornados Give Back is looking for Players, Parents and Sponsors to participate in the 2012 Tornados Give Back - traveling to Managua, San Juan Del Sur & Grenada: Nicaragua, July 22 – 28, 2012.
NEW this year – YOU do NOT have to play on the team to participate. Parents of players that want to have this experience are encouraged to attend. Also, brothers and other family members are invited to participate. We need lots of help in many different parts of this trip and encourage people to come for the experience and life lessons learned from this adventure!
We are looking for the following:
- 10 – 18 adventurous players ages 15 – 18, who will train and play against the Nicaraguan National Teams, Local club teams and Costa Rica National Teams while also participating in community service projects and tourist activities. Keep in mind, we will be entering a developing country, so we will NOT be staying in AAA rated 5 star hotels, but we will stay in nice accommodations, travel in luxury tour buses, eat meals as a group in nice restaurants and have responsible host that will make sure we are ALWAYS safe and in the right place.
- Adventurous parents who would like to participate in the trip, supporting all local community projects, team competitions and tourist activities.
- Adventurous supporters ages 15 – Adult, who would either like to ONLY participate in the Community Service OR donate money to the program to help with our projects while in Nicaragua.

During TGB – Nicaragua 2012 players, coaches and other participants will:
- Play or attend volleyball matches to support our USA Tornados teams.
- Participate in local community projects such as: visits to the orphanage, a trip to the fire station to drop off supplies, mobile library visits to small villages that cannot get into town to borrow books, clinic clean up, help teaching conversational English to locals and many other projects.
- Spend off time at a local private beach, surfing, body-boarding, riding horses on the beach, zip-lining, site-seeing and shopping in the Old Colonial Town of Grenada.
- Hotels, Food & Travel inside the country will be covered by your payment to our host www.bringitusa.com
- Each participant will be responsible for the following:
- Airfare to include arrival within an hour of the scheduled time of pick-up (approx $550 - $600)
- Trip fee of $1000, paid in full, prior to the departure (payment schedules will be set)
- Valid US Passport (approx $150 for a new passport)
- Up-to-date shots (no travel shots needed). All participants will need to bring bug spray and immodium/pepto or cipro.
- 1 – 50 lb bag full of personal clothes that must be checked, but left for donation at the end of the trip, (if you have room, we will give you stuff to pack for donation).
- 1 backpack or small bag that will return home with the participant to carry anything that you do not want to bring back, or souvenirs. g. 1 - 50lb bag that must be sponsored by someone of your choosing for $50, that we will fill with donation items for the locals. (School supplies, medical supplies, books, toys, clothes, shoes, sporting equipment, etc).

- If a participant interested in attending would like to be on the volleyball team(s) participating in the trip. Please name that participant, her age and team played for.
- Agree to the payment schedule and verify when payments will be made. Your reservation on the trip will not be secure until the final payment is made for all participants.
March 23th – Deposit of $500 & passport information due
April 23th – Payment of $250 & airline ticket itinerary due
May 23th – FINAL payment of $250 is due
June 13th – FINAL check for PROOF of passport and airline ticket confirmations
